We all have lived fairly for a long time . Twenty years passed sooner than even taking a glimpse at life . We still hope to have more time to enjoy , gain maturity and reach more perfectness . But who guarantees ? Maybe the rest of life is not as interesting as the first part was , perhaps it passes sooner than it passed ! Appreciate the time already in your hand .

2007: who were in the news?
Yahoo.com has published a list of top ten news searches of the last year made by people all around the world. It may be nice to know that in this list our country is number 2. Here you read the article.
In the first days of January, cell phone footage of Saddam Hussein's final moments leaked out and tore a blistering path across the Web.
The Iraqi dictator's death by hanging happened at the very end of 2006. Yet the gruesome footage of the event so rattled the Web that searches for the deposed leader dwarfed all other news queries in 2007.
The ongoing conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan also propelled buzz throughout the year. But it was Iran that snatched the No. 2 slot in the list of top news searches. The nation's budding nuclear program, its controversial and outspoken president, and the growing talk of a military confrontation between
Back in the
As for the hopefuls eyeing the head chair in the Oval Office, all the presidential candidates have embraced the Web. But the two Democratic front-runners succeeded in fanning the fires of Search most intensely. In 2006, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton kicked up a whopping number of queries. They did it again in '07.
Why no Republican contenders in the top 10 news searches for the year? We leave that to political analysts to answer. The GOP candidates certainly know how to spark buzz, and we've seen hefty spikes on Rudy Giuliani, Fred Thompson, and, most notably, Ron Paul over the past 365 days. But their numbers don't come close to Obama's or Clinton's. Regardless, searches for a candidate by no means translate into votes. Just ask Howard Dean about that.
In politics everything can change in a heartbeat and likely will. When it comes to buzz, there's just one thing we can count on: The looming U.S. presidential election will ensure that one politician's name emerges among the top searches for 2008. Whose name it will be remains one of the most pressing and spellbinding questions of the months to come.

If your father is a poor man, it is your fate but,if your father-in-law is a poor man, it's yourstupidity.
Practice makes perfect.....But nobody's perfect..... .So why practice?
If it's true that we are here to help others, then, what exactly are the others here for?
Since light travels faster than sound, people appear bright until you hear them speak.
Money is not everything.There's Visa.
One should love animals. They are so tasty.
Behind every successful man, there is a woman. And behind every unsuccessful man, there are two.
Every man should marry. After all, happiness is not the only thing in life.
The wise never marry.and when they marry they become otherwise.

Some of the most stupid questions people usually ask
in obvious situations and some equally stupid answers:-
1. In the bus: A fat woman wearing pointed high-heeled shoes steps on your feet
Stupid Question:-Sorry, did that hurt?
Answer:-No, not at all, I'm on local anesthesia.. ...why don't you try again or should i try this
time."
2. At a funeral:One of the teary-eyed people ask
Stupid Question:-Why, why him, of all people.
Answer:-Why? Would it rather have been you?
3. At a family get-together. When some distant aunt meets you after years
Stupid Question: Oh dear, you've become sobig.
Answer:-Well you haven't particularly shrunk yourself.
4. When a friend announces her wedding, and you ask
Stupid Question:-Is the guy you're marrying good?
Answer:-No,he' s a miserable wife-beating , insensitivelout...it's just the money.
5. When you get woken up at midnight by a phonecall
Stupid Question:-Sorry. were you sleeping.
Answer:-No. I was playing cricket. What do you think?
6. When you see a friend/colleague with evidently shorter hair
Stupid Question:-Hey have you had a haircut?
Answer:-No, its autumn and I'm shedding.... ..
7. At the dentist when he's sticking pointed objectsin your mouth
Stupid Question:-Tell me if it hurts?
Answer:-And while I'm telling you , you tell meif I bite.

Life Is Fine
I went down to the river,
I set down on the bank.
I tried to think but couldn't,
So I jumped in and sank.
I came up once and hollered!
I came up twice and cried!
If that water hadn't a-been so cold
I might've sunk and died.
But it was Cold in that water! It was cold!
I took the elevator
Sixteen floors above the ground.
I thought about my baby
And thought I would jump down.
I stood there and I hollered!
I stood there and I cried!
If it hadn't a-been so high
I might've jumped and died.
But it was High up there! It was high!
So since I'm still here livin',
I guess I will live on.
I could've died for love--
But for livin' I was born
Though you may hear me holler,
And you may see me cry--
I'll be dogged, sweet baby,
If you gonna see me die.
Life is fine! Fine as wine! Life is fine!

European English!!
The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.
As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English".
In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter. There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.
In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where! more komplikated changes are possible.
Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.
Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent "e" in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.
By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as
replasing "th" with "z" and "w" with "v".
During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and after zis fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensi bl riten styl.
Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united urop vil finali kum tru.
Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey vunted in ze forst plas!!

Departed
Do your duty, and history will do you justice.
Attributed to Harry S. Truman (1884 - 1972)
For old visitors of the blog:
There are times in life that you think someone is in harmony with you but he/she is exactly opposite you. Our every day’s life is full of misunderstandings. And there are also times in life when you postpone doing sth and then you’ll regret it. By the way these two things happened when I thought my friend Ali had comprehended my ideas and concerns and I also delayed writing the principles and policy of Double Cherry.
I don’t think a life without borders is a tolerable place to live. We all have some ethics and tenets in life that we try to live based on them. And I don’t deny that some principles may be relative and subjective. But I do believe that it is your certain right to define some principles for yourself and whatever you are in charge of and expect the people not to disregard them.
By the way that was my reason to delete one of Ali’s posts when I found it totally against my policy. The action that made him go off the deep end and kiss Double Cherry goodbye! That was an honest report to you of what is going on here these days.
After all I should apologize Alireza cuz I had to elaborate the blog’s policy more clearly to him and to all. I thank him for his support during this time and also for his nice writings (however he deleted them all!). And I just tell him good luck.
I’m fully aware that at this decisive moment numerous eyes are stared to the monitors to know what happens to Double Cherry in the end! To dispel all worries I ensure every one specially our fans (if we have one!) that Double Cherry is still alive and God willing tries to be better day by day.
Best regards

A happy start
In the name of God the merciful the compassionate
Like to a double cherry, seeming parted,
But yet an union in partition,
Two lovely berries moulded on one stem;
So, with two seeming bodies, but one heart.
William Shakespeare
A Midsummer Night's Dream

It all depends on the author’s imagination. They may write about any topic they want but to begin with we have four categories: Language tips, English literature, inside the class & let’s have fun.
Who are the authors?
Simply any English student or professor can be one of our writers. If you want to join us just give us your e-mail so that we send you an invitation mail.
The final word: an unpredictable world
The continuation and upkeep of this blog solely depends on the 21st letter of the English alphabet: U. It is you, your comments, visits and participation which encourage us to continue this way. You know. Living on this planet has a quality which makes it quite exciting. It’s unpredictable. Our blog may keep on going till the last semester and it may collapse very soon. It all depends on U.
